The Associate Buyer (Temporary) leads the Men's Footwear team supporting execution of seasonal merchandise strategies that align with Lacoste's brand vision and business objectives. This role partners closely with Buying, Planning/Allocations, Wholesale, Digital, HQ Merchandising, Marketing, Visual and Commercial teams to ensure the successful execution of product assortments, timely product launches, and inventory management across North America.
The ideal candidate is analytical, highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about premium fashion, footwear, and consumer trends.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Develop and execute seasonal assortments for the Men's Footwear category.
- Analyze sales performance, inventory levels, customer demand, and market trends to provide actionable recommendations.
- Prepare weekly and seasonal selling reports, including style, color, size, and category performance analyses.
- Create, maintain, and track purchase orders to ensure accurate and timely product delivery.
- Maintain product information, pricing, cost, and assortment data within merchandising and Anaplan systems.
- Assist in assortment planning, line reviews, product presentations, and seasonal market meetings.
- Partner with Planning to monitor inventory levels, replenishment opportunities, and promotional/markdown recommendations.
- Collaborate with E-commerce, Retail, Wholesale, Visual Merchandising, and Marketing teams to support product launches and promotional initiatives.
- Support sample management for meetings, photography, and product reviews.
- Stay informed on footwear industry trends, competitive brands, consumer insights, and emerging market opportunities.
- Perform additional merchandising and buying responsibilities as assigned.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Fashion Merchandising, Buying experience
- 2–4 years of experience in buying, merchandising, retail planning, or footwear/apparel purchasing.
- Experience in fashion, footwear, or lifestyle brands is preferred. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales and inventory data.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and data analysis.
- Experience with merchandising systems, Qlik, Anaplan, Orli, Rosario a plus.
- Passion for fashion, footwear, and the Lacoste brand.
