Missão

Role Overview

Reporting to the Head of India Sourcing Office, the Manager – Planning, Production & Logistics is responsible for overseeing production planning, factory follow-up, and export coordination with Indian vendors.

This is a hands-on, execution-driven role requiring strong factory engagement, structured follow-up, and proactive issue resolution.

The core objective is to:

  • Secure production capacity
  • Monitor execution discipline
  • Protect delivery timelines
  • Support operational performance

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Monitoring

  • Communicate forecasts and seasonal volumes to suppliers
  • Support capacity booking and production allocation
  • Validate production launch plans with Regional Planning
  • Create and release production orders in systems
  • Define and monitor critical path milestones
  • Track production progress through regular supplier reviews
  • Identify potential delays and implement recovery actions
  • Challenge lead times and production minimums where relevant

2. Factory Follow-up & Operational Coordination

  • Maintain regular follow-up with factories (travel across India required)
  • Ensure alignment between suppliers, Sourcing, Development, and Quality teams
  • Monitor adherence to confirmed delivery dates
  • Escalate risks in a timely and structured manner
  • Support resolution of production or warehouse discrepancies
  • Reconcile production invoices with negotiated prices and received quantities

3. Logistics & Export Management

  • Oversee shipment readiness and export documentation
  • Coordinate preferential origin declarations with Customs teams
  • Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance
  • Monitor On-Time Delivery performance
  • Communicate delivery updates or delays to internal stakeholders

4. Systems & Reporting

  • Integrate negotiated prices and production data into systems
  • Ensure data accuracy (quantities, dates, minima)
  • Support suppliers on Lacoste IT and logistics tools
  • Update and share KPIs related to production and delivery performance

5. Supplier Performance & Improvement

  • Monitor supplier execution performance
  • Conduct structured performance reviews
  • Train suppliers on Lacoste logistics processes and operational standards
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reliability

Perfil

Profile & Experience

  • 10–20 years of experience in production planning, factory operations, or supply chain within apparel/textile industry
  • Strong understanding of garment manufacturing processes and Indian factory ecosystem
  • Experience in export operations and international shipments
  • Good analytical and organizational skills
  • Structured and solution-oriented mindset
  • Strong coordination and communication skills
  • Advanced Excel and ERP knowledge (SAP, OrliWeb)
  • Fluent in English (Hindi required; additional regional languages are a plus)
  • Willingness to travel frequently to vendor locations
