About the role

The Product Merchandising Manager will lead the next generation of performance product for Lacoste footwear.  This role will drive the end to end process to brief product led by elite athlete insights, creation of profitable line plans, and deliver consumer right assortments to the marketplace. This role calls for strong execution, insight-driven planning and decision making, and seasonal process management. This role uniquely bridges consumer, product, and marketplace needs, ensuring consistency between global direction and local execution.

 

They own our performance product portfolio led by Tennis and Training. This portfolio will be grounded in innovation to enable our athletes to reach their winning potential, whether that be at Roland Garros or on their local tennis court. Building key franchises, collection pillar(s), price zones, acting as the day-to-day link between athlete, product creation, design, costing, sports marketing and sales teams.

 

MAIN REPONSIBILITIES


1.       Seasonal Line Planning & Execution

·       Support the Director/Senior Manager in building the seasonal line plan & assortments across key categories.

·       Manage SKU health, carryover strategy, and pricing alignment.

·       Coordinate adoption and productivity tracking across regions.

 

2.       Product Creation & Range Management

·       Translate athlete (elite and everyday) insights into product briefs and  actionable range frameworks with Design and Development.

·       Manage updates, milestones, and deliverables for product readiness.

·       Track performance and identify in-season opportunities or risks.

 

3.       Go-to-Market Readiness

·       Partner with Marketing and Sales to ensure innovation and athlete stories, assortments, and visuals are market-ready.

·       Lead GTM tools preparation (line plans, grids, visual assortments).

 

4. Cross-Functional Coordination and Athlete Relationships

·       Serve as a leader between Design, Development, and Commercial for key deliverables.

·       Build strong athlete relationships and partner with sports marketing to create moments of impact during key sporting moments

 

Perfil

Profile
  • 8-10 years' experience in product merchandising, ideally within Perfomance and Innovative footwear, with background in Tennis being a plus 
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of merchandising frameworks and financial KPIs.
  • Consumer and trend sensitivity; able to translate athlete insights into product actions.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and presenting to leadership.
  • Fluent in English; French a plus.
