About the role

Essential Job Responsibilities:


LEADERSHIP

  • Support the Store Manager in leading the store team to drive sales through training, coaching, and development.
  • Act as a leader on the sales floor, exemplifying sporting spirit and creating an outstanding service culture.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to improve team skills, performance, and sales results.
  • Partner with the Store Manager to identify, recruit, and retain associates who are passionate about sales and customer service.
  • Develop team members through coaching and mentorship to support succession planning and internal growth opportunities.
  • Assist in training new team members on customer service, operations, performance standards, loss prevention, and all Company policies and procedures.
  • Help establish and communicate individual goals aligned with Company KPI's and sales objectives.
  • Support performance management through regular evaluations, coaching conversations, and development plans.
  • Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager and ensure daily operations continue seamlessly.

SELLING

  • Partner with the Store Manager to execute plans that achieve and exceed Lacoste's sales plans and profitability goals.
  • Utilize reports and business metrics to analyze sales by units, gender, product placement, visual presentation, stock levels, and window presentations.
  • Make proactive recommendations based on business analysis to improve results and customer experience.
  • Support the Store Manager in maximizing profitability through analysis of store performance and identification of opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and help drive accountability across the team.
  • Lead by example through exceptional selling behaviors and customer engagement.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Foster an environment focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience.
  • Ensure team members are knowledgeable about the Lacoste lifestyle, products, and brand values.
  • Encourage and support clientele development initiatives to drive customer retention and repeat business.
  • Build relationships with local community groups and mall management to support brand visibility and business opportunities, in partnership with the Store Manager.
  • Assist with store events, sponsorships, promotions, and community outreach activities approved by corporate management.

OPERATIONS

  • Support scheduling and payroll planning to ensure appropriate staffing levels that meet business needs.
  • Help manage store expenses, including payroll, within established budgets.
  • Ensure Company standards are consistently maintained in merchandising, visual presentation, housekeeping, and loss prevention.
  • Protect store assets and inventory through adherence to operational and loss prevention standards.
  • Oversee daily operational functions, including receiving shipments, transfers, markdowns, replenishment, back stock management, and inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain operational excellence and serve as the point person when the Store Manager is unavailable.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Co-Manager is the direct partner to the Store Manager and plays a critical role in the overall success of the business. This position is expected to possess a complete understanding of all aspects of store operations, leadership, customer service, and profitability. The Co-Manager leads by example, develops talent, drives results, and is fully prepared to assume Store Manager responsibilities whenever required.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 1 to 2 years of retail leadership experience in a supervisory, key holder, assistant manager, or similar role.
  • Proven ability to drive sales, deliver exceptional customer service, and coach team members.
  • Strong understanding of store operations, including merchandising, inventory management, scheduling, and loss prevention.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Passion for the Lacoste brand, lifestyle, and customer experience.
