Summary Description:

The Director of Sales – US Golf is responsible for shaping and executing the commercial strategy for Lacoste Golf in the United States. This role leads revenue growth, strengthens brand presence within the golf ecosystem,

and ensures excellence in execution across all channels. As a guardian of the Lacoste brand, the Director will combine strategic vision, disciplined execution, and collaborative leadership to deliver sustainable growth aligned with Lacoste’s heritage and future ambition.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Commercial Strategy & Revenue Growth

  • Own and execute the Lacoste US Golf sales strategy, ensuring alignment with global brand direction and regional objectives.
  • Meet and exceed assigned sales targets while driving channel revenue growth within defined budgets and forecasts.
  • Deliver short  and long term sales and profitability results through disciplined planning and execution.
  • Accurately communicate product knowledge, pricing strategies, and brand policies to existing and prospective customers.
  • Develop account specific business plans to maximize growth, brand penetration, and long term profitability.

Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing, Product Development, and Operations to ensure seamless go to market execution.
  • Align sales initiatives with broader organizational goals, seasonal launches, and product strategies.
  • Partner with internal teams to optimize inventory allocation, forecasting accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
  • Act as a strategic voice for the U.S. Golf market, providing insights to influence future product and brand initiatives.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Manage and optimize the agent network supporting customers through purchase orders and commercial agreements.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the agent and internal sales team, fostering a culture of accountability, urgency, and high performance.
  • Set clear performance expectations and support professional development through regular feedback and goal setting.

Market Development & Customer Relationships

  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the golf community to drive brand loyalty and repeat business.
  • Lead all aspects of the sales process for both existing and new accounts.
  • Deliver strategic training and sales presentations to enhance brand storytelling and product performance.
  • Represent the Lacoste brand with professionalism, integrity, and adherence to company standards.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging market opportunities to maintain a competitive advantage.

Data Driven Performance Management

  • Prepare, analyze, and present sales reports to track performance against goals.
  • Develop accurate forecasts, business reviews, and strategic recommendations to guide decision making.
  • Leverage sales data, consumer insights, and market trends to optimize strategy and execution.
  • Translate analytics into actionable initiatives that drive sustained growth.

Compliance & Brand Stewardship

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention, confidentiality, and standard operating procedures.
  • Uphold Lacoste’s standards of excellence and ethical conduct across all commercial activity.

 

Profile

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; BA/BS preferred.
  • 7–10 years of proven sales leadership experience, preferably in golf, fashion, or sporting goods.
  • Highly strategic thinker with the ability to convert insights into actionable commercial strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, and customer relationship management skills.
  • Self starter with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and dependable.
  • Strong analytical skills with a passion for performance optimization.
  • Willingness to travel regularly as needed.
  • Energetic leader who demonstrates accountability, urgency, and passion for the brand.
