Summary Description:

Reporting to the Vice President, Commercial Operations. The Retail Operations Manager, Concessions is responsible for store/shop openings and closings, communication, workload planning, analysis, business monitoring and project management. This position primarily supports the retail concession business within Macy’s department stores. Key business partners include: Vice President - Retail, Merchandising, Buying, Planning, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Finance, store/shop management and field leaders. They will also liaise with corporate partners from Macy’s.  

 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead takeover/opening of 20 Macy’s concession locations in Fall, 2025
  • Lead project team meetings for current and future concession locations
  • Researching trends and creating new opportunities to increase sales
  • Maintaining the promotional calendar and analyzing the data to make recommendations
  • Monitor sales, returns, and operational effectiveness/efficiency
  • Create and maintain policies and procedures for the concession channel
  • Project management for new retail and omnichannel initiatives
  • Manage retail packaging, store supplies, security guards
  • Lead store opening/closing process for all channels
  • Assist with boutique and outlet channels as needed

 

Profil

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing or related field
  • 3+ years of experience as a Retail Operations Manager responsible for 50+ stores
  • Prior experience with leased department store shops is preferrd
  • Financial Acumen and Business Acumen with strong consumer prospective
  • Excellent organizational skills to meet goals and set priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to build relationships with all levels of stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • Commercial mindset - ensuring results and profitability is central to all plans
  • Excellent presentation skills, both face-to-face and written
  • Must be able to clearly communicate information effectively and persuasively with strong interpersonal skills to engage with all levels of the organization
  • Strong time management skills, creative problem solver and self-sufficient
  • Proficiency on Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
