We are looking for, to join our team, an organized, proactive, and collaborating person for the Accounting and Credit area for LACOSTE Groups' subsidiaries in Spain and Portugal.

Taking responsibilities in the accounting processes of the company, as well as to participate in the different projects set by the Group, we want a flexible and committed Senior Accounting to join our team, giving support to the Head of Accounting.

 

Reporting directly to the Head of Accounting:

Support month-end and year-end close process
Accounting day to day transactions on accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
Handling accruals and prepayments
Prepare financial statements

Assist with tax audits and tax returns
Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
Support internal and external audits to ensure compliance
Provide technical support and advice to the rest of the team
Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
Support Head of Accounting in planning, reviewing and coordinating accounting assistants and bookkeepers, as well as develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Coordinate the implementation of new SAP modules

Perfil

Proven experience in accounting minimum 5 years 
Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and best practices
In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Familiarity with financial accounting statements
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
Hands-on experience with SAP and Hyperion
Advanced MS Excel skills
Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines

Highly detail-oriented and organized
Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) will be preferred
Interpersonal skills
Spanish, English and Portuguese
